Our flagship digital platform
helps drive over one million sales in five years

Published: October 2025

We are celebrating several significant milestones this month, having passed our 18th anniversary, as well as the fifth anniversary of our VoiceBox digital marketing platform, which has played a critical role in helping UK retailers secure over one million vehicle sales since its launch. For our client base of over 500 businesses, this translates to an additional 33 sales per site each month.

VoiceBox is an advanced customer contact portal designed specifically for automotive retailers. It was developed in-house by our team, which has first-hand experience in the motor retail sector. Significantly, VoiceBox is the only auto-specific customer management platform that manages AI-driven digital marketing communications for both sales and aftersales.

In the five years since its launch, VoiceBox has delivered over four million targeted email communications on behalf of our clients. From these emails, 45,000 customers previously marked as ‘lost’ have converted to a sale and workshop utilisation has been supported by securing over 1.2 million workshop bookings.

“The industry has changed enormously over the past 18 years, and we’ve invested heavily in our technologies to ensure they keep pace with consumers’ changing needs and expectations. This was especially crucial during the pandemic, with showrooms closed and sales staff furloughed, VoiceBox often provided retailers with their primary means of engaging with customers. We’ve continued to evolve the technology ever since, ensuring it remains at the forefront of retailers’ portfolio of automated marketing solutions.”

How VoiceBox drives Sales and Aftersales campaigns

VoiceBox links with retailers’ existing DMS or enquiry management systems to provide hyper-targeted and automated communications in the form of email or SMS, in accordance with the customers’ GDPR-compliant preferences. No matter where the customer is on their journey, they benefit from a consistent brand experience, and the retailer benefits from one integrated view of each customer.

To support sales, retailers can enlist VoiceBox to send Stock Alert emails. Once a customer’s interest has been marked in the retailer’s DMS, VoiceBox can issue automatic updates showcasing vehicles in stock which are similar to their original search requirements. Stock Alerts perform consistently well for retailers, with emails sent in H1 receiving a significant 36% average click rate.

VoiceBox can also support retailers in re-engaging ‘lost’ customers. When the sales team marks a customer as ‘lost,’ VoiceBox automatically sends a Lost Sale email to reconnect. If the customer interacts with the email, the retailer is notified and prompted to reach out to them. For enquiryMAX retailers, VoiceBox simultaneously reactivates the customer enquiry, enabling the sales team to focus on the customer without any additional administration.

Another proven effective communication method for retailers is issuing MOT reminders. MOTBox can quickly cross-check a workshop’s entire customer database against more than 30 million MOT records held by the UK’s Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). It automatically identifies any inaccurately recorded MOT dates to ensure that upcoming reminders are issued at the right time. In addition to MOT reminders, retailers can use VoiceBox to issue automated Aftersales Stock Alerts, promoting stock that matches the customer’s current car but is newer or a lower mileage to those aftersales customers who have a recent or active appointment, prompting them to browse the latest stock or request a valuation of their current car, bringing them back into the buying mindset.
