EV-specific marketing secures over 850 additional
sales for Chorley Group in first year

Award-winning Chorley Group has secured over 850 additional EV sales in the first year since implementation in December 2024 as a direct result of hyper-targeted email campaigns. The family-run business, based in north-west England, implemented our VoiceBox platform to improve EV-specific communications and support their growing franchise portfolio.

By using VoiceBox, Chorley Group can continually segment open enquiry data to identify a subset of potential EV buyers. Paired with stock feeds segmented by vehicle powertrain, a bespoke dataset can be created to underpin EV-specific objectives. The retailer then uses VoiceBox to send automated ‘EV Stock Alert’ emails to any unconverted leads, showcasing up-to-date stock that closely matches the recipients’ original enquiry criteria. These EV-specific Stock Alerts achieved a 58% open rate and a 26% click-through rate since their implementation.

The automated emails from Chorley were customised with relevant EV-specific imagery, terminology, and useful information to help build consumer confidence in making the shift to electrified mobility.

In parallel, Chorley Group also introduced an automated email process to reconnect with any leads designated as ‘lost’ in the enquiry management system. When a customer is marked as ‘lost’, VoiceBox issues a personalised Lost Sale follow-up message to help bring prospects back into the sales process. Since implementing VoiceBox, Chorley Group Lost Sale emails have re-engaged over 350 potential customers for EV and ICE sales, with over two-thirds (77%) subsequently converting to a sale. This automated process allowed Chorley Group to generate over 250 sales without any additional prospecting from the sales team.
